Upstairs on the first floor, six bedrooms, each with an en-suite, provide a space to rest; two of the rooms even include freestanding baths for soaking your muscles.

Two more super-king-size bedrooms rest in the Coach House, ideal for anyone who likes their own space or young families needing an earlier bedtime away from the excitement.

The Coach House also has its own kitchen facilities and dining and sitting spaces, so there are plenty of options for the whole group when it’s time to relax.

Stepping outside, you can bask in your surroundings while enjoying the relaxation of the hot tub, gather for family meals alfresco, or simply enjoy your morning coffee whilst listening to the encompassing nature.

Eskdale Retreat lies in “one of the loveliest of Lakeland’s valleys” as Alfred Wainwright described, with the rugged hills and fells, the coast, and of course, lakes and tarns to be discovered.

The private garden is what dreams are made of, with woodland and meadows to wander and private river frontage with deep pools for natural bathing.

There are endless activities in the area with supported canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing, archery, raft building, ghyll scrambling, and canyoning all available by prior arrangement, as well as bike hire and guided cycling and swimming.
